What's Near Chinatown?

Chinatown is located south of the bow River and north of downtown along Centre street on the southeast side of Calgary’s downtown core just west of East Village. Calgary’s Chinatown is the fourth largest Chinese community in our country dating back to 1883. This iconic place and cultural community offers culture, education, community and language. The area has many restaurants and local shops as well as interesting sights and cultural landmarks. Build in 1992, Calgary’s Chinese Cultural Centre is the largest facility of its kind in North America. It  not only showcases traditional décor and architecture, the is dedicated to educating and enriching the lives of all Calgarians and it’s visitors through programing and cultural events.
